In a private-public partnership between Hawthorne Lakes, LLC, WCHDC, and Trinity Services, we successfully secure tax credit financing to construct an affordable senior rental community for an age restricted population of 62 years or older. We have also committed to a “Green Building Design” that incorporates engineering and environmental standards intended to achieve ICC 700 green certification and introduced enhanced accessibility accommodations into all of the apartments raising the standard for handicap accessibility. Finally we built a social service plan with Trinity Services and Catholic Charities to address seniors at-risk of homelessness. This project is currently under construction and is scheduled to begin lease-up in April 2016.
